According to Fox News on September 1st local time, the Boeing "StarCraft" spacecraft, which has been stranded on the International Space Station for over three months and is about to return, has recently been found to emit abnormal noises.
According to reports, on August 31st local time, NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore reported hearing "strange noise" from an "interstellar plane".
A recorded conversation shows that Wilmore stated that he is unsure of the cause of the abnormal noise. When he used the radio to contact Johnson Space Center, he aimed the microphone at the speaker of the "StarCraft" and then there was a regular "bang bang" sound.
The news was first reported by the American technology website "Ars Technica". Ars Technica stated that the cause of this noise is likely to be "benign".
According to previous reports, on June 5, 2024, Boeing's StarCraft spacecraft carried two American astronauts to the International Space Station. However, due to a series of malfunctions on the spacecraft, the return date has been repeatedly postponed.
According to recent reports from foreign media, the "interstellar passenger plane" is expected to return to Earth from the International Space Station on September 6, 2024 without passengers. Two astronauts are expected to return to Earth in February 2025 aboard SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft.
