On January 25th local time, Alaska Airlines announced that it is conducting a final inspection of the 737 MAX 9 fleet to ensure a safe go around. There are 65 737 MAX 9 aircraft in the company's fleet, and it is expected that the inspection time for each aircraft will be as long as 12 hours. After inspection by maintenance technicians, it is expected that the first few aircraft will be put back into regular commercial service on January 26th.
