On November 23rd, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology held an honorary doctoral degree awarding ceremony and a doctoral graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA, Huang Renxun, was awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering, praising him for leading NVIDIA to achieve outstanding results in the field of accelerated computing, redefining computer vision experience through the development of GPUs, and laying the foundation for the era of artificial intelligence. At the same time, HKUST awarded Honorary Doctorate in Humanities to Tony Leung Chiu wai, winner of the Lifetime Achievement Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival, and Honorary Doctorate in Science to Michael Levitt, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and David Manford, winner of the Fields Medal.
