The adjusted net loss (non GAAP) for the third quarter of 2024 was RMB 4.4126 billion (USD 628.8 million), an increase of 11.6% compared to the third quarter of 2023 and a decrease of 2.7% compared to the second quarter of 2024. As of September 30, 2024, cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash, short-term investments, and long-term term deposits amounted to RMB 42.2 billion (USD 6 billion). In the third quarter of 2024, the basic and diluted net losses per ordinary share/ADS were both RMB 2.50 (USD 0.36), compared to RMB 2.67 in the third quarter of 2023 and USD 2.50 in the second quarter of 2024.
NIO stated that the vehicle delivery volume for the third quarter of 2024 was 61855 units, of which 61023 units were from NIO and 832 units were from the company's smart electric vehicle brand ONVO for households, an increase of 11.6% from the third quarter of 2023 and 7.8% from the second quarter of 2024.
