Türkiye signs LNG supply agreement with Shell

On September 2, it was reported that Türkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alpaaslan Baylakthal, said at the signing ceremony that Türkiye had signed a 10-year LNG supply agreement with Türkiye's Shell Oil Company. Shell would sell about 4 billion cubic meters of LNG annually to Turkey's state-owned oil and gas company Botas from 2027. Baylakthal also said that the contract also includes the option of transporting natural gas to European terminals outside Türkiye.
