According to reports, protesters crossed the first fence around the factory to prevent wildlife and clashed with the police multiple times. At least one woman and three police officers were injured in the incident.
A police spokesperson stated that multiple people were arrested on the same day, and a large amount of police force was deployed at the scene. Police water cannons and armored evacuation vehicles were also deployed inside the factory.
According to reports, more than 1000 people registered to participate in the protest, with some protesters implementing sit in lockdowns and others resisting the cordon. The protest is expected to continue until Sunday.
Since the 8th, opponents have been calling for action against Tesla's factory, as Tesla plans to expand its only factory in Germany and Europe. Since the end of February, nearby climate activists have been protesting against Tesla's expansion plan and its deforestation activities.
