On January 18th, Jennifer Homendi, Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the United States, stated that the hatch that fell off on a Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft flying on Alaska Airlines was produced by Boeing's supplier Spirit AeroSystems in Malaysia. Jennifer Homendy stated that NTSB's investigation will delve into the production, transportation, installation, and commissioning of cabin doors, as well as quality inspections during the process.
