Google plans to establish a data center in the northeast of Indiana, USA, in order to support the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and cloud computing business.
According to the Associated Press on the 27th, Google announced plans to build a new data center in Fort Wayne, Indiana in January this year. However, the project cost was only disclosed on the 26th of this month, and the project is expected to create 200 jobs.
Google said that the new data center will be connected to other data centers owned and operated by Google globally.
Coincidentally, Amazon's AWS cloud computing service platform announced on the 25th that it plans to invest $11 billion to build a new data center in northern Indiana. The Associated Press reported that this project is expected to create at least 1000 jobs.
